Two New Videos from Right Sharing

November brings the release of two videos from Right Sharing of World Resources that focus on gratitude.

The first features Marian Beane, the current board clerk of Right Sharing. Marian reflects on the burdens of materialism which includes distraction from our core calling to be in community and love one another. RSWR encourages practices of gratitude to ground us in our shared mission to build a more just and equitable society for all.

The second video of the Progressive Women’s Group in Freetown. This group was founded in Sierra Leone in 2000, after the war devastated many local businesses and the group members’ ability to support their families. The group was unable to sustain itself in the aftermath of the war and the women stopped meeting. Years later, the group reestablished itself, only to be shuttered again by the Ebola epidemic in 2014. Not to be deterred, these resilient women came back together and eventually applied for a grant from RSWR. Today, the women are using their entrepreneurial skills to support themselves and their families.
