Steve and I have just attended "The Weeping Time", a discussion about an incident in which 436 Black humans were sold for over $303,000 in Savannah, Georgia.
Included was a restorative justice presentation by Pastor Charlie McCallie that was very powerful spiritually and practically. This was part of The Lived Black Experience series sponsored by the Murdoch Center to educate White people. This series is changing my life and “The Weeping Time” is now my favorite.
This discussion is a perfect follow up to the new Pendle Hill Pamphlet, "Race, Systemic Violence, and Retrospective Justice" by Harold D. Weaver, Jr. I'm sure AVP'ers will also find it reflective of their work.
