Friends: All of our communities are located in homelands of Indigenous peoples, but in many cases the tribal nations were forcibly removed and no longer live nearby. For these communities, it's hard to imagine how they could build relationships with the Indigenous peoples in whose homelands they now reside. If this is the case in your community, you might like to watch a short documentary film about the creation of a Sister Cities relationship between the city of Longmont, Colorado, and the Northern Arapaho whose reservation is in Wyoming. Longmont lies in the Northern Arapaho homeland, but the Arapaho have not lived there since the brutal Sand Creek Massacre in 1864.
