Report from the West Bank – Video
Dear Friends,
No matter if you were able to attend my 12/12/2024 presentation or not, you might appreciate watching the following video about my recent trip to Palestine.
This past November, I traveled to the West Bank and East Jerusalem through a program sponsored by Sabeel, a Palestinian Christian organization. During two full weeks, I met with Palestinians throughout the occupied territory who have experienced worsening conditions since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.
In my presentation, I shared the Palestinians’ stories, along with photos of the people I met and the places I visited. I visited with Palestinians who have had their homes demolished by the Israeli military, others who were detained and tortured by Israeli authorities, others who have been subjects of raids by Israeli settlers, and still others are regularly harassed at military checkpoints, etc.
Finally, I reflected on the question of what role hope plays for Palestinians in the face of these difficulties.
