Interviews will be scheduled on a rolling basis as applications arrive, with priority given to applications received by April 15, 2025. Following two rounds of interviews, we will conduct reference checks for the final candidates. Desired start date is July 1, 2025, but can be flexible for the right candidate.

Dear Friends,
I am writing to share with you, my dear Quaker Voluntary Service community, that after a decade of service on staff and 6 ½ years as Executive Director of QVS, I have discerned the time is right for me to seek new challenges, and as such to step away from my beloved QVS. I will be in this role through July 31, 2025, to support QVS through our current program and fiscal year and to support the transition to the new Executive Director.
I do this with some heaviness in my heart, with excitement about taking on new challenges, and with much gratitude for all that this QVS community has been able to both face and achieve during my six years as Executive Director of QVS. It sounds cliche, but this transition is bittersweet.
During this time QVS has been able to make significant strides in advancing our mission and service in the world, while also existing through and emerging from the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to managing the challenge of COVID-19, we successfully completed a $2,400,000 capital campaign, increased equity and empowerment offerings and resources, reopened the Twin Cities, and are once again seeing increased Fellow applications.
QVS is engaging in Spirit-led, loving action. We continue supporting young adults exploring their vocation and spiritual lives. I am exceptionally proud of QVS and the work of our connected Friends and partners. I believe wholeheartedly in the mission and vision of QVS.
I feel it’s time to pass along the work as director to the next person. I’ve been in this role for over six years. I’m excited for the next visionary to lead the organization!
As I mentioned, I’ll continue in this role through the end of July (which is the end of our program and fiscal year). I will continue supporting QVS after my time on staff. I have confidence in the Search Committee’s ability to hire our next Executive Director as well as in the staff and board’s ability to welcome and support them.
