Question about Land Acknowledgements

Dear Friends: Your advice is requested.

A Quaker meeting in the West is writing a land acknowledgement to post on their website, along with guidelines for people who want to make such acknowledgements at the beginning of events.

They would like to avoid the problem of promoting rote recitation of such statements.

This meeting would like to hear from other Friends’ meetings that are weighing the pros and cons of promoting land acknowledgements.
