The Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO) in Geneva is urging the Swiss government to adopt an ambitious stance in the upcoming international negotiations aimed at developing an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution (ILBI). This will be considered at the fourth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-4) for a global plastics treaty, scheduled in Ottawa, Canada, from April 23 to 29,
QUNO and a coalition of civil society organizations and international entities have drafted a letter urging the Swiss government to “show leadership and encourage and inspire other countries.”
