Protect Cambodian Genocide Survivor

Dear Friends,

I humbly ask for your help for Phoeun this week!  Details below.  Thank you.  Sandy

Request from Kazu Haga of East Point Peace Academy:

Years ago, when I first started working in San Quentin Prison, Phoeun was one of the first men I met. Not only did I have the privilege to train him as a trainer in Kingian Nonviolence, he was my trainer when I was certified as a Restorative Justice facilitator.

Of the thousands of incarcerated people I have met in my work, Phoeun is one of the kindest, most compassionate, most selfless leaders I know. And he needs our help.

After being found suitable for parole, Phoeun was picked up by ICE and is now facing imminent deportation to Cambodia - a country that he left when he was an infant, where he barely speaks the language and where he has no family.

Please support Phoeun by demanding that Governor Newsom grant him a pardon! I will vouch for him 1000%. Our communities will be better off with him in it.
