IMYM Approved Statements of Conscience 2025
As you may know, on May 31, Intermountain Yearly Meeting had an online business meeting to consider 5 statements of conscience, most of which were submitted by constituent monthly meetings. With a few changes, these statements were enthusiastically approved by 60 Friends. Two Friends stood aside because they were concerned that their meetings had not had the opportunity to review the statements before our meeting on May 31.

A minute was created which states how those gathered would like to see the statements used. That is:
- We APPROVED the following plan: The five approved Statements of Conscience will be sent, with a cover letter, by a representative of IMYM, to all monthly and regional meetings in IMYM, the White House, Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and to federal representatives of our region. Individual Friends are encouraged to share them widely as well–among Friends, to our local newspapers, and to our representatives, letting them know we are part of the group that approved these statements.
- We can use these minutes to situate ourselves during an uncertain time.
- Let us not hide our Light under a bushel.
In service,
