We live in Boulder Creek, which was recently decimated by the CZU fire in Northern California. Our house and the two behind it seem freakishly unscathed. Of the seven houses on the other three sides, four have been destroyed (including the homes of our two immediate neighbors) and three are damaged. We don't know what vegetation is left in our yard, nor when we can return to see for ourselves. Because the water system in our district is heavily damaged, we won't have safe or reliable water for at least a year. Other utilities should be restored within weeks or months.
As for the two of us, we're settling into our temporary housing in Mountain View and feel very grateful for your help and your holding us in the Light. We don't need anything at the moment, but our neighbors do. Thousands in our beloved valley are homeless and all are displaced. If you are able, please consider donating to two local nonprofits below.
