On New Years Day I had the privilege of picking angel cards with friends I met in Scotland over 20 years ago. We met at the Findhorn Foundation, an ecovillage and Spiritual Center on the north coast known for its Founders' direct connection to Spirit. Angel Cards are an offshoot of a community process at Findhorn that allows people to "pick" angels to partner with over a period of time or for a specific project.
This year I picked the angel of Vision for my overall year, and for Western Friend, I pulled Exploration. Both of these energies feel exciting and alive for me as I move forward in search of community and a grounded yet expansive vision for the magazine. For my relationships, I pulled the angel of Play – please remind me of this when I get too serious. Finally, for my home and personal life, I met the angel of Expectancy.
The first time I picked an angel card, I was a 19-year-old who found the process to be silly, until I pulled the angel of Courage. Now, as a middle-aged person, I delight in the process and the images on the cards. If you'd like to join me in this practice, you can pick an angel here: https://innerlinks.com/angel-cards/
Happy New Year and I hope we can carry the energy of Vision and Exploration together!
