Abortion and Reproductive Health

Dear Friends,

I hope you are doing well. Over the next year, Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL) is seeking guidance from Quaker communities across the country to assist FCNL’s Policy Committee in developing a recommendation as to whether FCNL should develop a policy statement regarding the issues of abortion and reproductive health care.

FCNL’s Policy Committee has prepared a “discernment guide” to support Quaker communities in this process.

This guide provides information about how your community can take part in FCNL’s discernment on abortion and reproductive health care policy.Please note that during its discernment, the Policy Committee will give greater weight to group responses over individual responses. 

You can also join FCNL’s Policy Committee for a virtual event to aid your discernment.
