New Justice and Peace Secretary

Dear Friends,

I'm delighted to be able to announce that Hezron Masitsa of Nairobi Yearly Meeting has been appointed to the new role of Justice and Peace Secretary for Friends World Committee for Consultation, beginning 1 October 1, 2023. 

In this role, Hezron will staff our Global Quaker Sustainability Network, support our UN engagement, and will help facilitate international prayerful discernment around these issues:

• ways that global relationships among Friends are impacted by historical injustices both past and present,
• the need to support a broader representation in our Quaker UN committees,
• the need for increased resources for our work to care for creation.
