Dear Editor: I write regarding the article “Place of Privilege” by Ann Clendenin in the May/June 2022 issue of Western Friend.
Our meetings for worship are in effect Holy Ground. A weekly gathering at once sublime and simple. Physical and spiritual terrains co-mingle. Become seamless. Limitless. Even eternal.
Ever-evolving science offers unprecedented choices, and challenges, into this space which can nurture our Worship. Or distract it. We must carefully discern our Way Forward, trusting that Light’s leading will faithfully guide our steps through the labyrinth of technology.
Authentic transformation neither eschews sacred tradition nor impedes creative innovation. One does not tear down the stairs when a ramp is built. For good reason.
