Mountain Friends Camp is still recruiting summer staff, so please help spread the word and think about applying yourself!
Working at camp is a chance to build intentional community, learn and share tons of valuable skills, make a difference for youth, and live a simple outdoor life for a few weeks. Whether you most enjoy hikes, swimming and canoeing, art and music, goofy group games, backpacking in the wilderness, sharing moments of quiet contemplation, cooking tasty meals from scratch, or all of the above, we likely need your gifts! Mountain Friends Camp is recruiting for these positions:
Counselors and program staff: You make the camp magic happen! All ages 18+, or 17 if you have graduated high school or completed a summer as a CIT.
Lifeguards and Medics: Keeping us safe! Lifeguards 17+, medic 19+ and certified or interested in training as a lifeguard or Wilderness First Responder.
Counselors in Training: Super role models and camper allies! Ages 16-17.
Short term volunteers, cooks and kitchen helpers needed too!
“What is in it for me?” “Is Summer Camp a Real Job?”
I’m glad you asked! Working at Mountain Friends Camp can change lives – of your campers, teammates, and yourself. You’ll develop and demonstrate transferrable skills in leadership, communication, innovation, team-work, and independence. You’ll make real human connections and immerse yourself in nature, away from technology for a few weeks. You’ll work hard, face challenges, and grow in professional and life skills.
And you’ll get room and board, and a paycheck too! This summer, full-season adult staff will earn $1250-$1600 depending on your experience and role at camp.
Please reach out to me with any questions. Please encourage friends to apply too!
