This piece of photojournalism takes the form of a thank-you letter to a corporate sponsor of the San Francico Friends Meeting Food Pantry, which operated weekly for several years until the COVID-19 pandemic forced it to close.
Here is a self-introduction from the photojournalist:
My name is Kameron Hall and I am 21 years old. I am a junior at San Francisco State University and I major in photojournalism with a minor in critical social thought. I moved around a lot growing up, but my hometown is Bellflower, California. My career goals include to be able to tell people's stories with just a click of a button on my camera and educate the world about what is going on in their own backyard. I’ve always wanted to travel and better understand others cultures. I know through journalism that I’ll be able to do that and achieve more. I want to use the power of journalism to not only educate others, but to also bring awareness of the positive things that are happening in the world. Using my skills of photography to help others who can’t travel, but who can instead view the world through my lens, is my life goal.
