Way of the Spirit Program is Back

(US/Pacific)

Today, I share with joy that the full, two-year Way of the Spirit program is ba-aack! Since 2012, Way of the Spirit has supported spiritual growth, discernment, giftedness, and faithful action in the PNW. But since the pandemic, I've only offered single weekend retreats or online "mini-series."

Beginning in January 2026, the doors are again open for the complete cycle of program content — spiritual awareness and discernment, prayer styles and stretches, beloved community, spiritual giftedness, forgiveness, identity in God, leadings, models of ministry, accompaniment/eldering, becoming everyday prophets, and more.

There'll be readings and exercises through ten online learning sessions and two residential retreats near Richmond, Indiana. Yup, the Midwest is joining the Way of the Spirit, though Western Friends and others aligned with core program values are most welcome.

In encouraging spiritual community, we'll face the urgent social, political, and environmental upheavals of our day with prayer that guides and energizes us for Good. Supporting young adults and preparing faithful leaders are core intentions this time around. Substantial scholarship funding available.

Sept 18th: 4pm Pacific / 7pm Eastern, all are invited to join a live online Q&A with the director (me, Chris Hall) and a program alum. Please preregister through the program website: https://goodnewsassociates.org/way-of-the-spirit/.
