The Great Polarization: How to hold space for disagreement?

A 2-part Workshop on Transformational Dialogue Co-sponsored by Friends at Multnomah Meeting and Reedwood Friends of Portland Oregon, Friday, April 18th, 6pm at MMM Saturday, April 19th, 1pm-5pm at Reedwood Friends. Both sessions available via Zoom. 

Learning to communicate across differences is an essential peace-building skill. Come learn with an accomplished mediator to find out how to speak and listen across difficult differences. This skills-based set of workshops will include introspection, practice, and feedback as we build our skills. Each of the 2-hour workshops builds on the skills developed earlier.

Facilitator Ryan Nakade is a trained mediator and facilitator with a passion for bridging political divides. He's worked on depolarization and de-escalation with groups like Braver Angels, CURE-PNW, Civic Synergy, and the Cultural Translation project. Ryan is passionate about community training and has worked with governments, faith communities, non-profits, and corporations in cultivating stronger dialogue skills, interpersonal relationships, and communities. He lives in Toledo, WA with his wife and 7 goats.
