The Coalition of Natives and Allies has been teaching the truth about the shared history of the Indigenous peoples and colonizers of this land. They strive to build bridges between Indigenous communities, allies, legislators, faith-based and non-profit organizations, state agencies, school administrators and educators in order to cultivate respect and end racism. After four years of doing this work, they have turned our educational program into a film under the direction of filmmaker Eli Noyes.

This film features both Indigenous and ally voices, a potent historical overview that also shares moving personal accounts of the three Native women in the Coalition. The social justice goals of the Coalition are to end the use of Native peoples as sports mascots and help both adults and youth learn what they weren’t taught in school.

Q and A discussion follows the film.
