Mark your calendars for the annual Friends Committee on Legislation of CA (FCLCA) General Meeting on December 6th at 10am (PST).
The keynote speaker will be author Daniel O'Connell, who will open the meeting with a presentation on his book, In the Struggle - Scholars and the Fight against Industrial Agribusiness in California, describing the struggle against industrial agribusiness in the San Joaquin Valley, the current impacts and Quaker connections to that struggle. Dr. O’Connell is a member of the Visalia Friends meeting and director of the Central Valley Partnership, an organization working for progressive change in the San Joaquin Valley.
