Gabriela Portillo Alvarado is a poet who grew up in Sacramento Friends Meeting and co-presented the keynote talk for Pacific Yearly Meeting in 2021, along with poet Avotcja Jiltonilro from Strawberry Creek Meeting. Gabriela is a student of Latin American/Latinix Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and Chair of External Affairs for Penn’s Latinx Coalition.
